LV-3194 Bay Laurel & White Oak Wooden Mushroom Trinket Box, Pill, Jewelry Box-THREADED

LV-3194 Bay Laurel & White Oak Wooden Mushroom Trinket Box, Pill, Jewelry Box-THREADED

$ 215.00

This is a very special mushroom shaped box made out of Bay Laurel (Umbellularia californica) with White Oak (Quercus alba) cap.  White Oak is the State Tree of Illinois, Connecticut and Maryland.  Native to Eastern and Central North America, this species develops into massive trees, yielding valuable timbers for construction, furniture, and wine barrels, specifically.  Capped with Bay Laurel, a nice timber from the Pacific Northwest.  The uniform wood works well as a mushroom stalk.  What special about this mushroom is the oak cap.  The radial rays of oak mimics the gills of the mushroom perfectly.   This is one king-size saprophyte!

This threaded box can be used to hold small valuables...The screw-on cap ensured that your content is secured; also serves as a unique gift for nature lovers

Dimension (largest diameter x height): 4" x 6"
