This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Curly Hawaiian Koa (Acacia koa) with Pheasantwood (Senna siamea) cap.  Endemic to Hawaii, Koa is the most prized, revered woods of Hawaii.  The wood that sparkle, specially with the curly figure like this one. It is not only shine, but the depth is also amazing.  The wood is highly sought after for carving, furniture and specially musical instruments. "Koa" means brave, bold, fearless, or warrior, it is surely a bold looking timber from a beautiful land!  Capped with Pheasantwood, anothet Hawaiian timber with interesting grain.  This is an acorn from the Paradise State.
