This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Tigre Caspi (Zygia cataractae) with Brown Ebony (Caesalpina paraguariensis) cap. From South America, Tigre Caspi mean 'Tigerwood' from the tiger stripes that runs through the lighter background. It is very similar to Marblewood, and some sources uses the two as interchangeable. However, this wood behaves much different from Marblewood, being softer and more porous, though it polishes up nicely. The brown ebony cap echoes the brown stripes of the nut, capping it off perfectly.
