This is a good-smelling acorn shaped box made out of Aromatic Cedar (Juniperus virgiania) with Walnut (Juglans negra) cap.  Among many of other so called cedars, this species is another cedar-wannabe.  It is actually a juniper, but the common name, or misnomer,  stuck.  The brownish-red heartwood is fragrant, very light and very rot resistance.  Moths do not like the aroma from this timber, so it is often used as lining for clothes chests and closets.  The domestic black walnut cap adds contrast to this nice acorn.
