This is very nice eggplant shape trinket box made out of American Holly (Illex opaca) with Verawood (Bulnesia sarmientoi) cap.  Here is another species of eggplant with white  skin.  So far, the eggplants grown from my lathe remain true in color, unlike the wild acorns. Just love the contrast in this one!
