This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of French Boxwood (Buxus sempervirens) with Raffia Palm Nut (Raphia hookeri) cap.  Boxwood is a hard and heavy wood from a slow growing, small shrub.  It is the hardest and heaviest wood from the entire European continent.  The wood is often used to make chess piece due to its extremely fine grain.  Also a favorite wood for detail carving.  This piece of Boxwood has interesting natural color stains instead of just the usual uniform yellow.  The polka dot raffia palm nut cap adds a touch of visual interest to this  acorn with it's unique pattern.

A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. Good for small daily pills, keepsake... Not recommended for long term storage of emergency pill, since I don't know how air/water tight the closure is. Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck.
