This is a small acorn shaped box made out of Camatillo (Dalbergia congestiflora) with Raffia Palm Nut (Raphia australis) cap. Camatillo is a true rosewood species with a beautiful deep purple color and darker streaks. It is one of the rarer timber. The Raphia nut (yes, this is the palm that yield the Raphia fiber of the trade), with it's greenish tint and random spots, makes a great stylized acorn cap!
A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. It is ready to dangle off your keychain, bag zipper, belt with the removable lobster claw. The nut is small enough to be worn as a pendant (without the claw). Good for small daily pills, keepsake...Not recommended for long term storage of emergency pill, since I don't know how air/water tight the closure is. For a permanent seal, apply a small amount of wood glue to the threads before closing. Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
