This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Camatillo (Dalbergia congestiflora) with Betelnut (Areca catechu) cap. Camatillo is a true rosewood species with a beautiful deep purple color and darker streaks.  It is one of the rarer timber, my favorite, and a rosewood that keeps it's color well.  The eyecatching Betelnut cap adds another level of visual complexity. This is a smaller nut, about the size of the real red oak acorn. This smaller size range is tough to make, but it looks so cute I can't resist spinning out a few tiny ones once in a while.

A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. It is ready to dangle off your keychain, bag zipper, belt with the removable lobster claw. The nut is small enough to be worn as a pendant (without the claw). Good for small daily pills, keepsake...Not recommended for long term storage of emergency pill, since I don't know how air/water tight the closure is. Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
