This is a pretty slim threaded holder made out of Camatillo (Dalbergia congestiflora) with Katalox (Swartzia cubensis) cap. Camatillo is a true rosewood species with a beautiful deep purple color and darker streaks.  It is one of the rarer timber since the tree never grow very big.  This beautiful cross-cut piece of Camatillo needs no embellishment. So a simple slim holder it became, with a dark purplosh cap to accent the pretty figured grain. Camatillo is also called Mexican Kingwood, and Katalox is also known as Mexican Royal Ebony. This holder is well suited for royalty.
