This is a special slim threaded holder made out of Black Persimmon (Diospyros digyna) with Mun Ebony (Diospyros mun) cap. I have never seen a more bright and colorful ebony species than the Black Persimmon.  Unlike other ebony that eventually turned dark, this wood preserves it's multicolor hues. Not a commercial timber, thus rarely seen ultilized, this wood is rare find. The Mun ebony is also a species with multi-color streaks, but the wood tends to darken with time, as most ebonies do.
