This is a special slim threaded holder made out of Osage Orange (Maclura pomifera) with Cocuswood (Brya ebenus) cap and base. Osage Orange is a hedge tree found in the Great Plains, from south Oklahoma to Northern Texas. The name of the tree comes from the native Osage tribe and the aroma of the riped fruit. It has nothing to do with the common citrus orange. The wood is one of America's most colorful timber. The bright yellow wood simmers and glows. The bright yellow contrasts against the brown Cocuswood cap. Cocuswood is a very rare timber found in Cuba, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. The wood is very fine grain, hard and heavy. It is well known for its use in woodwinds instruments such as flutes, piccolos, and bagpipes but become increasingly hard to obtain.
The crew-on cap makes this holder extra special and ensures that your content is secured. The slim profile fits unobtrusively in a purse or pocket for the people on the go. This holder can be used to hold toothpicks, pill, snuff, sewing needles, cash stash and small valuables...Also serves as a nice gift for someone who seems to have everything.
