This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Black & White Ebony Burl (Diospyros embryopteris) with Verawood (Bulnesia sarmientoi) cap. Black & While ebony is already a rare timber, but the burl form is even much more so. It is a fine mix of the black and white in very interesting looking swirls and eyes , like a piece of semi-precious stone. I pair this unique greyish yellow burl with the unique greenish yellow Verawood and really like the way it looks!
