This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Yellowheart (Euxylophora paraensis) with Greenheart (Chlorocardium rodiei) cap. This is another acorn combining two colored-heart woods. I have Yellowheart for a long time, but had not turned it until the Greenheart came along. What a nice wood, the Yellowheart. Now I know why it is also called Brazilian Satinwood. Anything with "Satin" in it's name should be brilliant. The olive green color of the Greenheart works exceptionally well with this bright wood. The nut looks so smartly handsome with it's green beret.
A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap ensures that your content is secured, good for jewelry, keepsake... Thought the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
