This is a smaller version of the slim threaded holder made out of Curly Koa (Acacia koa) with Cocobolo (Dalbergia retusa) cap. Koa is one of my favorite woods. It’s also the material of choice for the traditional Hawaiian ocean going canoes since it is the largest endemic tree in Hawaii. This particular piece of Koa is very light in color, with a beautiful shimmer. The plug cap was made from a rosewood from Mexico.
