This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Asian Satinwood (Lagerstroemia pyinma) with Desert Ironwood (Olneya tesota) cap. This is a paring of the opposites: the softness of silk and the hard, rough iron. But as people said, opposite attracts, and what an attractive pair it is in this acorn. The shimmering curly silk reflects the shimmering grains of the iron. If I have to give this acorn a name, it would be "Perfect Union".
