This is a pretty slim threaded holder made out of Argentine Lignum Vitae (Bulnesia sarmientoi). Also known as Verawood, this is one of my favorite timber. It is a hard, heavy wood that takes a extremely smooth polish. Related to the famed Lignum Vitae--the hardest and heaviest wood in the world--this cousin is as tough and even prettier with it brighter green tone. A green holder anyone? This nice green slim box will brighten any collection.
