This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Box Elder Burl (Acer negudo) with B&W Ebony (Diospyros embryopteris) cap. Box Elder is a species of maple native to North America. The wood is fine grain, but relatively plain. The burl, however, is super dense with figure. In such a small acorn, you can stillsee the swirls and curls, plus colorful natural stains. Capped with Black & White ebony for another set of pattern.

A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. Small enough to be worn as a pendant, and good for tiny daily pills, keepsake... Not recommended for long term storage of emergency pill, since I don't know how air/water tight the closure is. Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
