This is a pretty slim threaded holder made out of Maple Burl (Acer saccharum) with Desert Ironwood (Olneya tesota) cap. Native to southern Canada and the New England states, Sugar maple is best known for its bright fall foliage and for being the primary source of maple syrup. It is one of the most important tree in Canada, so much so that the sugar maple leaf is a symbol that had long been used to represent Canada, being emblemed on the Canadian flag. This species is also the state tree of New York, West Virginia, Wiscousin, and Vermont. The wood is one of the hardest and densest of the maples. Here I have a piece of top grade burl, simply beautiful.
The crew-on cap makes this holder extra special and ensures that your content is secured. The slim profile fits unobtrusively in a purse or pocket for the people on the go. This holder can be used to hold toothpicks, pill, snuff, sewing needles, cash stash and small valuables...Also serves as a nice gift for someone who seems to have everything.
