This is a mini pendant box made out of Himalayan White Spruce Burl (Picea smithiana) & Mauriti Nut (Mauritia flexulosa) cap. A whimsical designer box made from a rare burl and rare palm nut. Himalayan timbers are hard to come by and this burl is something special. Mauriti nut is a good example of vegetable ivory with it's pure white, very hard endosperm. This tiny compartment is good as a prayer box or memorial pendant from the spiritual heigh of Himalaya.
This tiny threaded vial is small enough to be worn as a pendant with a secret compartment for small daily pills or memorial keepsake. The screw-on cap ensures that your content is secured. For a permanent seal, apply a small amount of wood glue to the threads before closing.
Dimension (largest diameter x height): 5/8" x 1-1/4"
-- All wood turned items were hand made and/or hand threaded on a lathe. Hardwood threaded inserts were used for woods that do not accept threading well.
-- The item was sanded to 1200 grid for a mirror finish and sealed with a food-safe varnish, if applicable. For hard, fine grained wood with a natural shine, only wax and oil was applied.
