This is a tiny acorn shaped box made out of African Blackwood (Dalbergia melanoxylon) with Aust. Black Palm (Normanbya normanbyi) cap. African Blackwood is another true rosewood and the best one for turning due to it's extremely fine grain. It is a very dark wood as the name implies. Capped with a rare palm with pattern similar to Betelnut. This palm nut is small, so I can only use it for tiny acorns like this one.
A nice secret compartment for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this tiny box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. The nut is small enough to be worn as a pendant. Good for small daily pills, keepsake...Not recommended for long term storage of emergency pill, since I don't know how air/water tight the closure is. Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
