This is a pretty acorn shaped box made out of Black Ash Burl (Fraxinus nigra) with Tamboti (Spirostachys africanus) cap.  The pictures say it all.  This is just an incredible piece of burl wood.  It is not only great looking, this ash burl is also very dense and stable.  I wish I have more of this...the earthy brown Tamboti accent this nut perfectly.  Tamboti is also known as African sandalwood, but I did not detect much scent when working with it.  It is a lustrous timber nevertheless

A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. Good for small daily pills, keepsake... Not recommended for long term storage of emergency pill, since I don't know how air/water tight the closure is. Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
