This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Black Walnut Burl (Juglans negra) with Burmese Teak (Tectona grandis) cap. Black Walnut needs no introduction. It is the most popular dark wood of the temperate zone. Its timber is valued for fine furniture, musical instrument, gun stock, wood floor, among others. Here, I have a very nice walnut piece, loaded with figures. Teak is also a very popular furniture wood. This piece has a beautiful golden sheen with random streaks. Here is a decent sized acorn for your treasures.
