This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Cocobolo Rosewood (Dalbergia retusa) with Mun Ebony (Diospyros mun) cap. Cocobolo is a true rosewood from Mexico with prominent darker streaking on the nice reddish wood. It is a very dense wood that polish up nicely. The figure can be extremely extravagant in Cocobolo. This species recently made it to the red list, which means the availability will be decreasing sharply.  Capped with Mun Ebony, another luxury timber.  This acorn needs to be held in order to appreciate the silky smooth feel and the nice weight of it in your hands.
