This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Ziricote (Cordia dodecandra) with Black Palm (Borassus flabellifer) cap. Mexican Ziricote is one of the wood with web-like figures that sometimes looks like abstract landscape. No other wood is so subtle and yet at the same time can be so wild like the Ziricote. This nut show off the beautiful  landscape-like pattern. Capped with Black Palm, another dark wood with unique pattern.   Here is an acorn that you need to get up close and personal in order to fully appreciate what Nature has done here. I like this one!
