This is a necklace with a secret compartment from Cocuswood (Brya ebenus). This extremely rare species is found in Cuba, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. Also called Green, Brown, or West Indian Ebony. The heartwood is brownish-yellow to dark brown often with a greenish tinge. It is usually beautifully veined with darker streaks. The wood is hard and heavy. It is well known for its use in woodwinds such as flutes, piccolos, and bagpipes because of its fine and uniform grain, its beautiful coloring and its resonance. Bead cap opening is hidden in the design for a true secret compartment jewelry. This pendant is ready to wear with a double strand nylon cord.
This pretty pendant has a tiny secret compartment for very small daily pills or memorial keepsake. The screw-on cap ensures that your content is secured, yet can be easily accessed.
Dimension (largest diameter x height): 3/4" x 1/4", 12" nylon cord
