This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Pink Ivory (Berchemia zeyheri) with Desert Ironwood (Olneya tesota) cap. Pink Ivory is an exotic wood native to Southern Africa, and is one of the most rare and beautiful woods in the world. The color ranges from salmon to pink to dark red, but tend to deepen with time. This acorn was made from a high grade timber with nice pink tone. Desert Ironwood is probably the nicest looking wood from North America, very hard, heavy, polished up to a glassy finish and the swirly grain shimmers like gold. The American Indian believes that the wood will bring luck and good health to the people who carries it. Here, two top notch timbers from two continents combined to creat this tiny acorn!
A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. Small enough to be worn as a pendant, and good for tiny daily pills, keepsake... Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
