This is a special slim threaded holder made out of Eastern Red Cedar Burl (Juniperus Virgiania) with Cocobolo (Dalbergia retusa) cap. Among many of other so called cedars, this species is another cedar-wannabe. It is actually a juniper, but the common name, or misnomer, stuck. The brownish-red heartwood is fragrant, very light and very rot resistance. Moths do not like the aroma from this timber, so it is often used as lining for clothes chests and closets. The wood itself is common, but the burl is certainly not, and what a nice mix of yellow and red! The Cocobolo cap echos the pattern and reddish tone of the body. This is nice!
The crew-on cap makes this holder extra special and ensures that your content is secured. The slim profile fits unobtrusively in a purse or pocket for the people on the go. This holder can be used to hold toothpicks, pill, snuff, sewing needles, cash stash and small valuables...Also serves as a nice gift for someone who seems to have everything.
