This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Curly Koa (Acacia koa) with Brown Ebony (Caesalpina paraguariensis) cap. Endemic to Hawaii, Koa is the wood that sparkle, specially with the curly figure like this one. It is not only shine, but the depth is also amazing. The wood is highly sought after for carving, furniture and musical instrument. "Koa" means brave, bold, fearless, or warrior, it is surely a bold looking timber! From Argentina, Brown Ebony features dark chocolate brown tones with a pleasing grain pattern. It is not the true ebony species but has characteristics similar to Black ebony. I particularly like the warm tone of this wood and the subtle but nice grain pattern.
This is a nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this box extra special and ensures that your content is secured, good for jewelry, keepsake... Thought the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift for the "hard to give" people on your list!
