This is a special slim threaded holder made out of Indian Banyan (Ficus benghalensis) with Mun Ebony (Diospyros mun) cap. Banyan is the national tree of India and Bangladesh. Considered the tree of immortality, the sacred Banyan has important cultural and religious roles in many SE Asian traditions. Lord Buddha is believed to have sat under a Banyan tree for seven days after attaining his enlightenment. The wood has interesting grain pattern and shimmer, with grayish blue stain. The Mun Ebony base adds contrast and a subtle set of figure to this box.
The crew-on cap makes this holder extra special and ensures that your content is secured. The slim profile fits unobtrusively in a purse or pocket for the people on the go. This holder can be used to hold toothpicks, pill, snuff, sewing needles, cash stash and small valuables...Also serves as a nice gift for someone who seems to have everything.
