This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of German Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus) with Brown Oak (Quercus robur) cap. Indigenous to Europe, this piece of Hornbeam comes from Germany, one of the few hardwoods from a country rich in conifers. What's special about his one is the incredible spalting, which transforms this normally plain wood into a piece of multicolor artwork. Combined with Oak, National Tree of Germany, this acorn honors the native home of Albert Einstein and many famous scientists, inventors and engineers, plus some of the world's most well-known composers of classical music, not to mention influential philosophers that shaped the course of history.
A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap ensures that your content is secured, good for jewelry, keepsake... Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
