This is a very pretty acorn shaped pendant box made out of Verawood (Bulnesia sarmientoi) with Betelnut (areca catechu) cap. I use Verawood often for it's cool green color, but has never tried this combination before. I should have done this earlier, since the result looks great. I have a stash of nice, dried betelnuts and am having fun with them. I bet you can not find betelnut utilized this way elsewhere. I just love the exotic pattern of this palm nut! It serves perfectly as acorn caps...
