This is a tiny threaded holder made out of Bois de Rose (Dalbergia maritima). Endemic to Madagascar, Bois de Rose is one of the premier Rosewoods. It has a very distinct coloration, that ranges from bright magenta to a gorgeous deep cherry color. The color will deepen with exposure.  The wood polishes to an unbelievable glass like shine. It is an extremely rare wood now-a-days, since all export has stopped permanently; only a few small blanks can be found here and there from old stashes.

The crew-on cap makes this holder extra special and ensures that your content is secured. Good for small daily pills, memorial keepsake. Small enough to be worn as a pendant for hang on your keychain, zipper pull...Not recommended for long term storage of emergency pill, since I don't know how air/water tight the closure is. For a permanent seal, apply a small amount of wood glue to the threads before closing.
