This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Kingwood (Dalbergia caerencis) with Mun Ebony (Diospyros mun) cap. Brazilian Kingwood is a beautiful member of the rosewood family with a violet hue. It is a dense wood that polishes up to a lustrous finish. It was a popular wood for high-end furniture of the 18th Century, specially that of King Louis XV and XVI (hence, the name Kingwood). It is now becoming becoming very rare and expensive. Mun ebony is another rare species from SE Asia. The dark tone compliment the purple hue handsomely.
A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. Good for small daily pills, keepsake... Not recommended for long term storage of emergency pill, since I don't know how air/water tight the closure is. Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
Dimension (largest diameter x height): 7/8" x 1-3/8"
