LV-2185 Bog Oak & Brown Oak Slim Pill Box, Toothpick Holder, Needle Case-SCREW CAP

LV-2185 Bog Oak & Brown Oak Slim Pill Box, Toothpick Holder, Needle Case-SCREW CAP

$ 89.00

This is a pretty slim threaded holder made out of English Bog Oak (Quercus robur) with Brown Oak (Quercus robur) cap. A symbol of strength and endurance, Oak serves as National Tree for many different countries, USA included, and of course, England. For those who are not familiar with the bog oak, this piece of wood is more than several thousand years old.  Oak trees fell into a bog and was buried and preserved.  The black coloration is the result of such submersion under a specific condition.  Needless to say, this one is rare.  Bog wood is not hard enough to take thread so I used an ebony insert. The cap is from the very same species of oak that is still living today. You can see the same open grain and subtle pattern on both. The rustic look of the wood, the subtle streaks and porous grain give this holder an earthy quality, I like this one!

The crew-on cap makes this holder extra special and ensures that your content is secured. The slim profile fits unobtrusively in a purse or pocket for the people on the go. This holder can be used to hold toothpicks, pill, snuff, sewing needles, cash stash and small valuables...Also serves as a nice gift for someone who seems to have everything.
