This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Chittum (Cotinus coggygria) & Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) cap. Chittum is definitely the most colorful domestic timber. The shimmering color mix is simple awesome! Also know as American Smoketrees, but they are certainly not a fire harzard. The "smokes" are fluffy panicles of flowers that blooms over the plant. This is the only case where there is smoke without fire! The wood is very pretty with it's yellowish green stripes, and also fluorescence under black light. Capped with Black Locust, another wood that emit light under black light. I really like this one!
