This is a mini acorn pendant from Lignum Vitae sapwood (Guiacum officinale) with Manila Palm Nut (Adonidia merrillii) cap.  One of my collector friend asked me how small of a threaded acorn I can make.  This one is the asnwer.  The acorn body is about the diameter of a pencil.  Unless I grind down my threading tool, it barely fit into the cap opening to make the internal thread.  For such a delicate thing, hard wood like Lignum is a requirement.  I was wondering what to do with the tiny Manila palm nut that I have lying around for a while.  It turned out to be an awesome acorn cap! I am not sure what you can do with this tiny acorn, other than a memorial pendant or a talisman.  It is crossing the line from being an object of utility to an object of curiousity.  Comes ready to wear with a leather cord and accent bead.

This unique pendant has a tiny compartment for memorial keepsake. The screw-on cap ensures that your content is secured. If you want a permanent seal, apply a very small amount of wood glue to the thread before closing.
