This is a nice acorn shaped box made out of Curly Namamau (Flueggea flexuosa) with Black Walnut (Juglans negra) cap. 

This piece of Namamau has been sitting in my wood collection for quite sometime.  It is not a species that come across often. I was curious to see how the wood look after being polished, so... an acorn was born.  The figured wood shimmers much like a piece of curly koa, but the grain are more prominent.  Take a close look!
