This is a nice mini acorn box made out of Osage Orange burl (Maclura pomifera) with Betelnut (Areca catechu) cap. Osage Orange is a hedge tree found in the Great Plains, from south Oklahoma to Northern Texas. The name of the tree comes from the native Osage tribe and the aroma of the ripped fruit. It has nothing to do with the common citrus orange. The wood is one of America's most colorful timber. Here we have the rare burly version of this species. Ththis acorn looks particularly pretty with the patterned betel nut cap.
This small acorn box has a removable swivel lobster claw attachment for keychain, lanyard, zipper pull, rearview mirror. The screw-on cap ensures that your content is secured. Great for small daily pills or any small things you want to have access on the go...It is also a unique gift since acorn is a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
