This is a pretty threaded vessel made out of a small Ponderosa Pine Burl (Pinus ponderosa) with Desert Ironwood Chechen (Metopium brownei) cap & base. Ponderosa pine is is the official state tree of Montana. It is a magnificent species that holds the record for the tallest known pine. This vessel was made out of a very figured piece of burl with the natural bark inclusions retained as accents. The earthy brown Chechen cap and base highlight the features of the burl while echoing it's bark color. What's fun about this small vessel is the fresh cut pine scent that you can enjoy everytime you open the cap!
