This is very nice eggplant shape trinket box made out of Blue Mahoe (Hibiscus elata) with Verawood (Bulnesia sarmientoi) cap. Blue Mahoe is Jamaica's national tree, a relative of the Hibiscus. One of the wood with unique purplish-blue color and nice, subtle sheen that is very difficult to photograph. This timber is difficult to find. Verawood is another unusual wood which turns green upon exposure. This green patina needs ambient light to develop, so you can see that the inner surface of the calyx is not as green. These two are nice color combination, perfect for an eggplant! This is a rare one!
