This is a pretty slim threaded holder made out of Amur Maple (Acer ginnala) with Mun Ebony (Diospyros mun).  Amur maple is often grown as ornamental or bonsai.  The attractive pinnated leaves turn brilliant scarlet in autum. The wood, however, is not  commercially available.  I was lucky to have a blank of this nice wood with beautiful figure and an unusual olive green tint.  The ebony cap and three burnt lines adds accent to this pretty holder.
