This is a pretty slim threaded holder made out of Mun Ebony (Diospyros mun) with Partridgewood (Andira inermis) cap. Mun Ebony is my favorite ebony species for several reasons: the wood is very fine and easy to work with; the patterns can be very striking and a hint of green tint make this ebony special; it is very stable, dimensionally, just perfect for threaded parts. Capped with patridgewood, another very hard and dense timber from South America.
