This is a very special mushroom shaped box made out of 1" x 1-3/8".  Here is an interesting timber from the common garden lemon tree. The wood is fine grain and very dense, with subtle color variation.   Golden Rain Tree got its name from it's yellow panicles of flower and then seed pods.  The cap is from salvaged timber of tree trimming around my place.  I got two of these street trees in front of my house.  This species is a resilient one. I have been battling unwanted seedlings from these trees every year.  I was surprise to see that this species holds its bark well, so here it is another delicious mushroom.  At least somwthing good is coming out of this nuisance of a street tree.
