This is a pretty slim threaded holder made out of Manzanita (Arctostaphylos glauca) with Suriname Ironwood (Bocoa prouacensis) cap. Manzanita is such a gorgeous timber that I am constantly on the look out for a few pieces.  The tree is common here in the foothill, but wood often comes in small blanks because this wood cracks like crazy during drying.  Here is a nice container, capped with the super dense ironwood from South America, this holder is a beauty!
