This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Camatillo (Dalbergia congestiflora) with Raffia Palm Nut (Raphia hookeri) cap. Camatillo is a true rosewood species with a beautiful deep purple color and darker streaks. It is one of the rarer timber. The Raffia nut (yes, this is the palm that yield the raffia fiber of the trade), with it's greenish tint and random spots, makes a great stylized acorn cap!
