This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Verawood (Bulnesia sarmientoi) with Brownheart (Vouacapoua americana) cap. Verawood is an interesting timber that turns green with light exposure. You can see the exposed part of the acorn body already turned green while the interior part still remains yellow. This particular piece of Verawood was cross-cut to show the shimmering stripes of many green hues. A fine, hard and heavy wood (also known as Argentine Lignum Vitae) with a nice green patina make this timber truly special. Couple with the Brownheart cap, a rare wood from South America, this color combination closely resemble the still green acorn.
A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured, good for jewelry, keepsake... Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
