This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Chittun Wood (Cotinus coggygria) with Camatillo (Dalbergia congestiflora) cap.  This is definitely the most colorful domestic timber.  The shimmering color mix is simply awesome! Also known as American Smoketrees, but they are certainly not a fire hazard.  The "smokes" are fluffy panicles of flowers that bloom over the plant.  The wood is very pretty with its multi-color stripes, and also fluorescence under black light.  It is one of my favorite and surely on my actively hoarding list.This nut looks awesome capped with a Betelnut. The pattern and color of the cap work extremely well with the purple nut.

A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. Good for small daily pills, keepsake... Not recommended for long term storage of emergency pill, since I don't know how air/water tight the closure is. Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
