This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Camphor Burl (Cinnamomum camphora) with Leopardwood (Flindersia maculosa) cap.  Camphor is the source of aromatic resin used in many tincture and ointments. It is also a very stately ornamental tree. It is one nicely scented timber from my aromatic wood collection.  Open the cap and take a sniff!  The inside pf this acorn was not sealed with a finish, so you can enjoy the aroma every time you open this acorn.  Leopardwood comes from South American jungles. It has interesting lacey pattern with large, shimmering dashes that beautifully complement the reddish burl.  I really like this one!
