This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Camphor Burl (Cinnamomum camphora) with Black Walnut (Juglans negra) cap. Camphor is the source of aromatic resin used in many tincture and ointment. It is also a very stately ornamental tree. It is one nicely scented timber from my aromatic wood collection. Open the cap and take a sniff! The inside pf this acorn was not sealed with a finish, so you can enjoy the aroma every time you open this acorn. The patterned betelnut caps off this beautiful acorn.
