This is a very pretty slim threaded holder made out of Black Cherry Burl (Prunus serotina) with Partridgewood (Andira inermis) cap. 

Black Cherry burl is a domestic beauty.  The tree is native to Northeastern US.  The timber is valuable as cabinet material, the familiar dark red "Cherry".  Fruit is good for jam and pies.  This is the burl that you see here.  Incredibly dense with figure and eyes.  Partridgewood got its name from the grain pattern that resembles partridge feather. It is a pretty dark brown timber with very tight grain.  

The screw-on cap makes this holder extra special and ensures that your content is secured. The slim profile fits unobtrusively in a purse or pocket for the people on the go.
